Keeping your locks healthy with KEVIN.MURPHY
So, the question I’m asked more than any other is “how do you keep your hair so long, thick and blonde”? Everyone seems to think that us blondes have more fun but when it comes to looking after my hair, I certainly don’t! I used to have a terrible time with mine before I started using my secret weapon!
For all the blondies out there, I’m sure you’ve suffered from dryness, dullness, brassyness, whiteness & yellowness (most of which are not actual words!) but are real to us all. We all (non natural blondes) use yucky bleach… yep, that blue pasty stuff! Little secret: I also use this on my tash but that’s whole other review!
Anyway, we know bleach is not kind to us but yes, we still love it! The more the merrier, the blonder the hotter but we suffer the consequences of broken fuzz!! Now, darker hair colours don’t have it easy either it’s just hard to keep hair healthy when we all love to curl, straighten and get blowdrys leaving hair limp lifeless and damaged!!!
As you know, I got married in May and every bride goes through the “trying to make everything perfect phase” so my hair had to be thick, silky fresh and amazing!! I’ve always been good to try new things on my hair and when a salon in Dublin used KEVIN.MURPHY on me during a blowdry… I just fell in love! My hair got even thicker, the colour stayed vibrant and it was so healthy after a few uses. My favourites from the range are the Angel Wash & Rinse as well as the Blonde Angel Wash and Treatment. The range is probably most famous for their Born Again Masque and the dry shampoo (Fresh Hair) – both of which I also use and love.
The worst thing is that it’s difficult to get online and as far as I know, it’s only salons in Dublin stocking it. Hopefully, someone in Cork will get stocking it soon. Luckily, I’m up in the capital at least once a month so when I am, I buy it in PREEN down on Dame St. PREEN
or in Hession hairdressing in Clontraf or Drumcondra Paul Hession hairdressing
My mum also uses KEVIN.MURPHY and her hair is amazing there is a picture below. When it comes to my hair this along with skincare is something that I don’t mind spending money on so even though the range is a little pricey (about €22 each for the wash and rinse), you won’t regret trying it. You wear it every day… Look after it! The pictures below are me after two fab blowdrys from Steven at “All Dolled Up” All Dolled Up
