Therapie treatment plan

Hi guys, so as you have seen from my Snapchat i have started facials in Therapie Clinic Cork. I know you probably thinking “why?” when my skin is good but since having Pearl my pigmentation has come up and my over all skin colour is very dull.

Facials are not just for those who suffer from acne there are lots of other reasons that you may not be happy with the look of your skin. So my plan is below I got my therapist Sarah to  write it out properly so you guys get the correct information. She listed out my homecare routine and then I will get 4 facials and might get a bit of laser if I feel the pigment is still too dark. I will keep you updated on my snapchat and I will also do a blog post at the end of my treatments.

Total facial cleanser– For your skin type start using 2/3 nights a week. Foam a pea size amount up with water. Gently massage into face for 2/5mins. May feel a tingle to skin this is normal.

Weekly Treatment:

Benefits – Ultra hydrating for skin without being too heavy. Combats factors that damage skin such as environmental dehydration stress and fatigue.

Professional treatment plan: To reduce pigmentation and to brighten and hydrate skin

As skin is very dull at the moment and needs hydration decided we would start on peels first to hydrate and gently increase cell turnover. The benefit of this gentle exfoliation will intensely hydrate skin and gently slough off dead surface skin giving the skin a glowing soft smooth skin to finish. The vitamin c in peel will help build protective layer of skin and preventing more damage from external elements such as the sunlight and wind.

Peel name: 4 layer signature peel.

Next treatment will aim to go stronger targeting more pigmentation. Due to having an even at end of week on 1st peel couldn’t go this strong.

We will also patch test the harmony skin rejuvenation laser on a little patch of pigment under the eye. As you got the pigment during pregnancy it doesn’t always budge with such a laser so instead of just doing it let’s just patch test and see how it reacts.

Laser works by being attracted to the excess pigment and working like a hoover to draw the unnecessary pigment to the surface. It is then exfoliated off the surface with dead skin cells. Also works to reduce thread veins and generally rejuvenate skin.

If pigment reacts with laser will do some of these especially under eyes where it is most prominent.

If there isn’t much of a reaction peels are the best option and will slowly break down clumps of pigment reducing the overall concern.
