My Favourite Makeup Products!

I have been in the makeup industry for over a decade now, so you have no idea how hard it is for me to pick favourite products – literally no idea!! As you know I love using a mixture of both high street and high-end brands, you’d be surprised how little difference can be between some of them. Below is the top 6 products I am loving at the moment (so this could be subject to change!) You also know that I would never recommend anything that I didn’t fully love, so trust me when I say that these products are REALLY good!

LUNA by Lisa Jordan – Lip Gloss Collection Blush Edition

LUNA by Lisa LipglossOk – so obviously these are going to be top of my list. Not blowing my own trumpet, but I do know what I am talking about when it comes to lips and lip products. I put months of blood, sweat and tears into these glosses and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

When I was creating them I knew what I wanted, lots of pigment, a nice smell and consistency, a bendy wand and a super sleek bottle, and I think I achieved that! They can be worn on their own, or over a lipstick or pencil – which I will go through in another blog post soon. Check them out here!

Each gloss is named after a precious stone – just like Pearl! I am so delighted with the feedback so far and I love seeing your posts wearing the glosses – keep them coming!

Powder’n’Pout Makeup Brushes

The key to flawless makeup is how you apply it, which means what you apply it with is SO important. Over the years I have tried out a LOT of makeup brushes. I worked with MAC for years so I do love their brushes. I am also a fan of Penney’s brushes, super cheap and really good quality.

But if I had to choose a favourite brand it would be the Powder’n’Pout brushes which you can get here. The quality is amazing, they are so easy to use and they have loads of different types of brushes to choose from. They also have some great sets, which are always a great buy.

Price point, the individual brushes range from around €8 to €18, which is really affordable.  #brandambassador

MAC Studio Fix Foundation

MAC Studio Fix Foundation

Working in MAC for so many years I was bound to have a couple of favourites! MAC Studio Fix foundation is up there with the best in the business. It has a natural finish with medium to full coverage, depending on what look you are going for. It also has SPF15 which is so important to add to your skincare routine.

The consistency is kind of thick, but it doesn’t make your face cakey like some foundations can. It helps to reduce the size of pores and cover spots and blemishes that other foundations wouldn’t. If you are looking for a flawless finish then I would definitely recommend this one. I usually wear this on a night out, but it can be great for daytime too depending on what kind of coverage you like.

It’s available online, but if you don’t know your colour I would recommend calling into the girls in MAC – Dublin, Limerick, Galway or Cork for them to help you pick out a colour because there is just too many to choose from!

Naked Concealer – Urban DecayUrban Decay Naked Concealer

I literally go nowhere without my concealer. It is a must-have in my makeup bag as it allows you to brighten up your face in a couple of seconds. The Urban Decay Naked Concealer is one of the best on the market, and if you haven’t heard of it before you must be living under a rock!

The buildable coverage makes it great for both day and night time looks. It has quite a matte finish but still gives the area a bit of luminosity.

It’s €23 which is a little on the dear side for a concealer, but to me it’s an investment into your selfie, so it’s money well spent!

Morphe Eye Palette

Ok so this is a bit of a general one, because I literally can’t choose which palette I love the most! All of the Morphe palettes are such good quality, especially for their price – most of them are only about €25. The matte and shimmer pigments in them are always so strong which is fab, if like me you like a nice eye look. The range of colours they have throughout all their range is insane, there is a palette to suit everybody! Take a look at them all on – that’s where I get mine.

Luna by Lisa Jordan – Liquid EyeshadowsLUNA Liquid Eyeshadows

I don’t think these even need an explanation… have you seen that sparkle?!

I am so delighted with my latest product. Again, you have no idea the work (or glitter!) that went into these – you might have seen some production pics on my Instagram. I wanted to create an eye product that could be used by everyone because let’s face it – creating that perfect smokey eye can be hard. I chose the colours because they are so versatile for both night and day, depending on how much you use, or what you out with it. You can find them here!
I’ll be doing some more video tutorials over the coming weeks, with some special guests too, so stay tuned on the LUNA social channels.
